Karen Tried to Steal My Parking Spot, So I Made Sure She Never Got Another One Again Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears!
  • 03
I live in apartment complex where parking is a hot commodity. We all kind of follow an unspoken rule: if someone's waiting for a spot, you let them have it. Simple enough, right? Well, not if you're Karen.
  • 04
One evening, I'm doing the usual post-work parking hunt, and after what feels like an eternity, I finally see someone about to pull out near my building. I've got my blinker on, patiently waiting for the spot. But just as I'm about to pull in,
  • 05
Karen zooms in out of nowhere, grabs the spot, and strolls off without a care. I honk, thinking maybe she didn't see me, but nope-she just gives me that classic Karen wave and disappears into the building like she did nothing wrong.
  • 06
Now, I could've confronted her, but we all know how that ends. Karen's don't take well to being told they're wrong. So instead, I decided to handle things a little differently.
  • 07
Here's where it gets fun. I have a friend who works for the towing company that our complex uses. After venting to him about my little Karen problem, he tells me something interesting: Karen's car is technically over the line
  • 08
into a fire lane. Not by much, but enough to be a violation. So, the next day, he swings by, slaps a warning on her car, and of course, Karen being Karen-she ignores it. The car doesn't move, and by the next night, it's towed.
  • 09
You'd think that would teach her a lesson. But no, not Karen. A week later, she's back, and this time she's taking up two spaces like she's trying to stake her claim. I couldn't believe the nerve.
  • 10
So, I make another call. And yep, another tow. But this time, I decide to leave a little parting gift: a sticky note on her windshield that says, "Parking is a privilege, not a right."
  • 11
Now, Karen's been banished to parking on the street. Every time she tries to park in the lot, she somehow ends up "accidentally" breaking another parking rule. Funny how that works.
  • 12
And ever since, Karen's been very quiet. No more smug waves, no more taking spots. Just Karen, being Karen, quietly parking down the street where she belongs.
  • 13
TL;DR: Neighbor Karen stole my parking spot, so I got her car towed twice, leaving her no choice but to park on the street from now on. No more smug waves.

Parking at my apartments are also limited so they do this all the time, but all the complex does is put up more signs.

anon_e_mous9669 • 26m ago Haha, nice work. This reminds me of a story of a guy I used to work with who lived in one of those high rise apartments with the parking garage underneath. Someone kept stealing his reserved/marked/paid for spot and after about the 5th time

having to park in visitor parking or out on the street, he went to harbor freight and bought a set of 4 wheel dollies and put them in his trunk. The next time the parking thief stole his spot, he called a couple of his neighbors who have had
  • 19
their spots stolen and got them to help and he lifted the offending car up on the wheel dollies and they pushed it slowly a few levels down between 2 pillars with about 6-12 inches of room on either side so it was
  • 20
nearly impossible to get it out. He said it took 2 weeks for the car to move from that spot and in that time, it got like 10 tickets for parking in a no parking zone.
